Time to get real: I LOVE cliffs. Sitting on them is a hobby, possibly even a passion of mine. I went cliff jumping for the first time when I visited Lake Powell in 2012. When I came back, one of the things I knew I wanted to do most was go cliff jumping again. It combines my love of cliffs and rocks with my love of water, feeling adventurous, and taking cool pictures for my Instagram. (like I said, it's time to get real)
Come to find out, down in Southern Utah right off of I-15, there is an entire state park known mainly for one thing: the best cliffs to jump. Plenty of my friends who live down there would casually tell me how they would casually go after school or whenever they got too hot during the summer. They know how to fuel my jealousy/desire to get down there ASAP.
So on a road trip with Zion National Park as the final destination, we finally decided to check it out! Needless to say I was overly-excited.

On the way to the cliffs we found a flooded creek flowing into the lake. With our band-spanking-new $0.97 donut tube this perfect little creek was too much to resist.
There are cliffs circling the whole lake, and then some on an island in the middle. Because we were there in late April and the water was the temperature of recently melted snow, we opted for the closest cliffs to be found for a get-in-get-out as fast as possible type of deal. We didn't have to wander far to find a line of teens assembling to jump.

The "big" 30 foot-er, complete with a high-five in the water!
*So far, this has been one of my very favorite bucket list items! |
