Podcast(ing) (Week 2)
This semester I will be posting my thoughts every week on some media I've consumed. This is a semester-long project for my SFL 358 class: Media and Family Development.
I have this thing where I am obsessed with being 100% efficient with my time. I can't drive somewhere, take a shower, or walk to school without doing something that is somehow productive. Recently, I have discovered several new podcasts that I love, and they are filling my car-rides/walks with enlightening, intellectual, and uplifting conversations.
1. Well-Fed Women- A good place to find lots of info from nutritionists and others about food, exercise, body image, how many veggies you really need, etc.
2. Q.More- Hosted by Rosie Card of Q.Noor as a way to start conversations about sensitive subjects in LDS culture. So far so good.
3. Witness: World War II- Produced by the BBC, and hosts eye-witnesses of specific events from WWII. FYI I can't turn down a good source of WWII information ever.
Thanks so much for sharing these--I keep hearing about podcasts and how uplifting and informative they can be. I think it's important to fill our minds with good info that pulls us up, like the podcasts you mentioned above. It's amazing that technology allows us to be able to consume these ideas while we're doing things like walking or driving.
